Every day, Dr. Jo Olson treats teenagers with complicated and often chronic medical problems, and many of them have no insurance. It breaks her heart to have to tell them, “I have nothing for you. No one can take care of you.” That’s no way to treat our children. We need single payer, California OneCare.
Dear California One Care,
I love the work you are doing and am completely behind you. But I get your emails and read your materials and they are very poorly written. They sound like they are written by a teenage boy, and the vast majority of us who will take the time to follow your actions and make donations are not children. The language is offensive. If you don't have a professional editor and adult writer, you need to hire one immediately.
I also do not see any mention of your efforts in the press. I've looked for press releases from you and there appear to be none. You do the movement a disservice by not doing more to publicize the issue. Videos alone are not enough. This issue is too important to be left to teenage boys.
Respectfully,
Bonnie Klein
