Dear OneCare Supporters,
Cheers and thanks to our supporters and donors!
One year ago, California OneCare launched an historic year long campaign of daily 30-second TV ads supporting single payer health care reform. On Monday, we published our 365th ad!
Celebrities, politicians, labor leaders, health care activists and ordinary citizens starred in a relentless barrage of messages indicting our horrific health care system and offering hope of a plan that will one day provide comprehensive health care for all.
An epic ad campaign from an epic OneCare Team for single payer health care reform!
The California OneCare 365 Ad campaign published spots online each and every day via email and as posts on the OneCare website. Ads were also placed on cable TV stations during California’s primary election last year. Click Here to view the incredible production team that made it possible.
And, you can share any of the spots in the 365 Ad Archive with your friends at http://californiaonecare.org/365-ad-campaign/365-ad-archive/
Health care tragedies happen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year! We believe we must be just as relentless, day in and day out, if we are going to achieve real health care for all.
The 365 TV Ad Campaign mirrored the intensity and goals of the OneCare 365 City Campaign of 2006-2007. The California OneCare coalition produced advocacy events, concerts and public forums across the state with one new event each day for 365 days straight. The campaign culminated in one of the largest single payer rallies ever for single payer in Los Angles on August 11, 2007.
The next step for California OneCare? Heip us raise funds to fight with.

The California OneCare Board of Directors is developing new pathways to victory for single payer. Are you able to help our historic movement? Are you willing to volunteer an hour a week or donate $5 a month? Truly, every action and every penny will help. The day will come when Goliath falls and we can joyfully look each other in the eye and say that we did the impossible. We defeated the colossal insurance corporations, and finally—finally--we have California OneCare for everyone, forever. Click Here to Donate Now.

Speaking for Controlled Healthcare Insurance Corp., the incomparable Ernestine tells a patient, "Life itself is a pre-existing condition. Our prescription for it: Don't get sick!" That's the only way to stay ahead of the insurance companies whose only concern is profits. As Ernestine says, "It takes big bucks to run an insurance company, medical care is the least of it."
