I have been working to get OneCare passed for years. Someone seems to have dropped the ball. Is it Senator Leno? I check his web site and the news on SB-810 hasn’t been updated since April. Is it Governor Brown? I go to his web site to the “email the Governor” page and SB-810 is not in the list of topics, which lists almost all other state bills by legislative number. I just gave input on AB-750 and that one is listed. Why isn’t SB-810 there? Can I help? I am an experienced web designer. I can get the info up if somebody in Sacramento sends it to me.In general, what is going on with SB-810 and why does it not have a competent legislative advocate who is getting out press releases and calling upon the millions of Californians who would get behind this bill if the leadership were better?Your own web site is documenting the fact that thousands of people are dying this year alone for lack of care for treatable illness. It is unconscionable for there to not be better leadership and information available on this bill. Getting health care costs under control would solve nearly our entire budget crisis as well as saving thousands of lives. What better story could there be to get in the media? Why in the hell isn’t somebody getting good press releases out to the newspapers and TV stations daily until this issue is in the forefront of the minds of the population?I am chair of our local county Democratic Central Committee and I can tell you that our committee is disappointed at the way SB-810 has been handled this year and the lack of commitment it has received from our Party.

  3. I am very pleased to see the video at the homepage.

It’s one of our all-time favorites. We’ve linked to it at our Videos web page for years.

Why wasn’t this put on as a proposition many years ago so that the voters could have voted & put it in place?
