Paula Poundstone

365 Ad# 123

Comedienne Paula Poundstone likens private insurance plans to the hospital gowns that are open in the back. No matter how much you pay, they just don’t cover you. She says we should all get involved in the California OneCare Campaign for single payer, universal health care and get covered.

It's a good one. Always liked Paula Poundstone. The analogy between the gaping back side of a hospital gown & the "gaps" some people have to put up w/ health insurance is too funny.
  • BRILLIANT analogy Paula. "That cool breeze coming from the South" could also be that chill up your spine from your uncovered backside, as you stand in that gown worrying how much this "helpful" medical procedure will hurt or "rattle" you financially. I've felt them both..

I couldn't agree more. Healthcare for all is an idea whose time has come. Unfortunately, the U.S. Government would rather spend trillions of dollars bombing millions of people.
