How can we get the governor to sign this (it WILL pass, for the 3rd time!)

Or, how close are we to an override of his veto?

The time has come for single payer. Somebody should itemize the cost for an average family and the benefits or rather the lack of benefits. Then take the executives of a given company and list their salaries and the health benefits that those executives get. Then explain that if getting insurance across state lines is a benefit which company in which state has good benefits. There never was competion within the states that have more than one insurance company so how does lifting state boundaries make a difference? The insurance companies have a monopoly. If you check different insurance companies their rates and benefits are about the same. Lets admit the fallacy that competition will solve the problem.

The first factor in saving healthcare dollars is avoiding the non-value added overhead of the private insurers. They obstruct free market access to doctors, they do not integrate their services into the delivery of care to lower costs, and they add gatekeeper overhead costs to segregate health plan costs rather then offering lower cost comprehensive plans. The second factor is private insurer accountability to see how much money is flowing through their hands and how it is being used. One cannot manage what one cannot see.
